Day 1 | Arrival Day – Transfer to Arusha – Rebecca & Megan and a private shuttle/guide will meet you at the airport, and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. The drive from the airport to your hotel is about 45min. Your safari consultant will brief you on various aspects of your itinerary including sharing all the important tips before the safari begins. Overnight at The African Tulip Hotel (BB)
Day 2 | Lake Manyara Biking (or village walking safari) + Local Lunch – Proceed to Ngorongoro - After
breakfast, you will set off to Mto Wa Mbu near Lake Manyara for your biking safari. The bike ride will be
on flat-bumpy roads while having the chance to see indigenous wildlife species such as gazelles, zebras
and wildebeests together with bird species. Later you will return to the village and bike through age-old
banana plantations and visit the Makonde tribe, famous throughout East Africa for their woodworking
skills & craftsmanship. Of course, you cannot leave the village before enjoying genuine Tanzanian hospitality when they offer you a true local lunch. Later, proceed to Ngorongoro, at the edge of the crater, you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day – glistening streams, open grassland and an infinite number of animals. Day 3 | Ngorongoro Crater Tour – After an early breakfast, you will depart to Ngorongoro for an
incredible day in Ngorongoro Crater through the splendid landscape rich in wildlife. This dramatic caldera
is inhabited by more than 25, 0000 resident animals. The Crater is a unique ecosystem of grass steppe and
Acacia Forest inhabited by the Big Five as well as zebra, hippo, wildebeest, cheetah, and many
more. You will be lucky enough to have a lunch on the crater floor! Later, ascend the crater and return to lodging for evening leisure, Dinner, and Overnight at Ngorongoro Lions Paw Luxury Camp.
Day 4 | Ndutu & Great Migration - After breakfast, you will proceed to Ndutu via the stunning Ngorongoro highlands for a Great Migration Safari. Ndutu is part of Ngorongoro & Serengeti ecosystems
very famous for the Wildebeest Migration and Calving Season, which happens between January and
March. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift Lakes, however the water is still drinkable and
used by a wide array of local wildlife. Ndutu is also known as home to cheetahs, lions, leopards and other
big cats. Driving off the main road in search of wildlife is what makes Ndutu quite a special game
area; arrive at the lodge for dinner and overnight at Siringit Migration Camp
Day 5 | Great Migration & Calving Season - Stunned by the previous day spotting of the migration, today,
your entire day is dedicated to see the best of Ndutu. Mornings and evenings are always the best time to
view animals! During game drives you will be able to see abundant wild animals and see the fertile plains
turn into calving grounds and nursery for the great migration as well as hordes of predators preying on
vulnerable young wildebeest. In the evening, return to your lodging for evening leisure, dinner and
overnight at Siringit Migration Camp This concludes the portion of the trip in Tanzania.
Day 6 | Early morning flight to Entebbe, UGANDA.
On landing at Entebbe, our company representative will pick you and the group & you will visit Touch the
Slum Organization in Kampala and your driver guide will drive you straight to Nakasongola where you will head to the AHI (African Hospitality Institute) for the next three nights. Driving time is 3hrs. This location is rural and there's no website for accommodations, but trust us, you'll love the people here and the accommodations are where 5-star lodge Ugandan staff are trained. You're going to be pleasantly surprised!
Day 7/8 | AHI/Nakasongola – You will spend this time immersing yourself in Ugandan culture, helping locals, visiting schools and gaining an understanding of what life is like in rural Uganda. There may be opportunity to help with projects such as building, sewing, teaching, collaborating and more. This is where you can let loose, feel down to earth, and enjoy some relaxation and possibly some fun work too! More details to come for those who join us! (Often the most memorable part of the trip!)
Day 9 | AHI – Jinja - After an early morning breakfast, your driver/guide will transfer you to Jinja, the home
of adventures passing through the Mabira forest. This is Uganda’s biggest natural forest with quite a good
number of bird species, primates & trees. On arrival in Jinja, your driver guide will hand you over to Lemala boat team to transfer you to Wild Waters Lodge based on the Nile River. Dinner/Overnight and surprises at Wild Waters Lodge
Day 10 | Jinja City | Sunset Cruise on the Nile - Drive to Jinja where we’ll explore the town and arts/crafts.
Afternoon will be spent on the Nile River, take to the water and enjoy the awesome nibbles, refreshingly
cold drinks and the great views. This is how we like to end the day at Nile River Explorers. Overnight at
Wild Waters Lodge
Day 11 | Jinja – Entebbe - Departure - Guests will be driven back to Entebbe from Jinja passing through
Uganda's capital Kampala, having a chance to shop in the local shops and arriving in Entebbe city for lunch before being dropped at the Entebbe International airport (Driving time is 3Hrs). This is the end of your trip in Tanzania/Uganda for those flying back home. (Note: You will need to get a flight into Tanzania & out of Entebbe)
For those staying for the Gorilla trekking you have dinner & overnight included at Boma Hotel.
This Adventure includes a chartered domestic flight from Entebbe (and back), luxury accommodations, park passes, 5-star services (personal butler/housekeeper) & meals/drinks. The lodge is owned by a local Ugandan woman who built the lodge during Covid.
Mountain gorillas (Gorilla beringei beringei) are exceptionally unique apes existing only in African continent. A glimpse at these creatures in their natural habitat is such a mesmerizing experience you need to be part of. Mountain gorillas are endangered species and they are a sub-species of the Eastern gorilla (Gorilla beringei). As of today, only 1063 mountain gorillas still exist on planet earth and they live only in Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo.
Day 12 | Entebbe – Kisoro domestic flight – After breakfast at Boma hotel, you will be dropped at
Entebbe International Airport at 06.00hrs to connect with your morning domestic flight to Kisoro Airfield,
located in the southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will find another guide on
standby waiting for you to be transferred to the Lodge. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or you may
opt to go for optional activities. Overnight at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge
Please note that the domestic flight company are always strict on the luggage weight and strictly 15 kg of
luggage and they recommend duffle/soft bags. (We can leave extra luggage with our guides in Entebbe).
Day 13 | Gorilla Trekking Experience - After breakfast, take a short drive to Park Headquarters and meet
with excellent local guides and trackers who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. Packed
lunches are provided by the lodge and it is important to take plenty of water. Dinner & Overnight at
Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge.
Day 14 | Nkuringo - Kisoro Airfield – Entebbe | Departure - After an early morning breakfast, your guide
will transfer you to Kisoro Airfield for your domestic flight back to Entebbe International Airport. Then you
will go for lunch at one of the beach hotels in Entebbe before you can be transferred to Entebbe
international Airport for your international flight back home.
